Cause-Conscious Clothing Company Project Iris to Unveil Striking New Women’s Shirt Styles
Socially conscious ‘casual chic’ women’s wear line to reveal exclusive new shirt designs beyond its flagship florals at the International Spa Expo to be held in Las Vegas November 7-9, Booth No. 739
CINCINNATI, OH, October 18, 2011 – Trendsetting women’s apparel company Project Iris (www.ProjectIrisClothing.com) today announced that it will reveal the newest additions to its lauded cause-conscious casual wear shirt line at the International Spa Expo to be held in Las Vegas November 7-9, 2011, booth No. 739. In addition to its flagship floral prints that have become a fashion favorite all over the United States, this new line of Project Iris shirts will include watercolors, animals, and music themes, with all of the artful imagery exclusive to the brand.
To date, more than 150 top-tier spa retailers and wholesalers from coast to coast carry Project Iris, including the Mandarin Oriental (Las Vegas, NV), Atlantis Casino Resort Spa (Reno, NV), Waldorf Astoria (Park City, UT), and Boyne USA Resorts Inc (Boyne Falls, MI). Earlier this year, Ann Macy & Associates, a manufacturers sales and marketing agency known for offering unique and innovative wholesale collections, showcased Project Iris at The Fashion Market Northern California Show. 2011 has been a banner year for Project Iris. In June the company announced that, despite the economic recession that has plagued the on and offline fashion retail industry, its annual revenue surged 61% from the debut launch of its initial line in October 2010 – growth that has been sustained into this fourth quarter.
"I am thrilled to offer Project Iris to my customers,” noted Ann Macy. “I knew from the moment I saw the line that it would fit in nicely with our collection and be welcome in the stores with its stunning one-of-a-kind graphics, vibrant colors, extraordinary quality, supportive display programs and, of course, the brand’s heartfelt commitment to fight world hunger.”
Project Iris’ inimitable apparel, which retails between $39 and $53, includes v-neck and scoop neck short and long sleeve shirts produced in buttery soft burnout fabric and luxurious ringspun cotton. Each garment is adorned with original artwork designs unlike anything else on the marketplace, offering women a fresh feminine fashion statement that exudes casual sophistication. Available prints include “Willows,” “Lotus Watercolor,” “Queen Anne’s Lace,” “Dandelions,” “Lunaria,” “Mums Bouquet,” “India Blue Feather,” “Hummingbird,” “Painted Garden,” and “Spring Blossoms” among other nature-inspired images.
Combining style with substance and women’s advocacy, Project Iris works in partnership with World Food Program USA (www.wfp.org), the largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Through this affiliation, a portion of each Project Iris sale provides nourishing meals for new mothers and their children in the most poverty-stricken parts of the globe. Project Iris has also committed to donating a portion of its October 2011 proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“There is a lot more to Project Iris than the striking clothes we produce,” notes company CEO Neil Hoynes. “This brand was developed with a purpose – to give women that like fashion an opportunity, through their own social consumerism, to easily contribute to causes that help other women. We’re spreading a message of giving and hope that is reflected through Project Iris fashions designed and manufactured with great care. With this line, we intend to raise awareness, and funds, to positively impact world hunger, malnutrition and the health of women and children in developing countries. Our initial contribution to World Food Program USA provided meals to more than 12,500 mothers and children in need.”
Caitlin Masters of World Food Program USA underscores the importance of such commerce-driven contributions, noting, “No issue is more urgent, or more foundational to other development goals, than getting maternal and child nutrition. The support from private business, such as Project Iris, to provide financial backing for this specific cause is vital to providing the necessary aid.”
